TRIPS TE

Guide Cover

INTRODUCTION:

Another popular formations and another formational guide. Today we wanted to bring you our take on Trips TE as it has grown in popularity we spent lots of time working on setups here. Some of these are very “meta” but as always we will only give you things that we have tested and run ourselves. Used in conjunction with other formations Trips TE can be deadly forcing your opponent to adjust both sides of the field.

Below you will find each play with its own section laid out within tabs. When possible we will also go over an advanced strategy that may require more adjustments, a complete understanding of the formation, or quicker fingers to complete the play. Make sure to learn the entire body of content to ensure that your offense is running on all cylinders.

So lets jump into it, and start learning The Trips TE Offense. Thanks for checking out the guide and be sure to tweet us @maddenturf or review us on http://facebook.com/maddenturf after you have gone through the guide to let us know your thoughts!

Bombs Away

Please feel free to watch our full game breakdown of the formation after. We find this helpful in learning how and when to run certain plays to make sure you stay one step ahead for exploiting the defense.

Here we go over the play Double In Sail and our favorite setups

  • Zig Middle Receiver
  • Streak Outside Left Receiver
  • (optional motion in Middle receiver 1 or 2 steps and snap)

Be sure to hammer your opponent with the Running back table route. Force them into hard flats to open up the corner route and keep their attenion away from trips side.

  • Flat Middle Receiver
  • Streak inside receiver

This is a great setup vs cover 2 blitzers. The flat route will hold any flat zones leaving a quick throw to the in route. You can throw the streak if they jump the in route. On the short side of the field, you have a great high low combo.

  • Streak Middle
  • Drag Outside Left

This does good vs Hard flats. The corner route will beat clouds but this setup is best when you force your opponent to take away the flats.

Here we go over the plays we use that have play action in them. This typically covers those “unguardable” crossing routes.
